Uniforms

Ivy Hall Academy students wear a prescribed uniform to develop a sense of professionalism toward academic activities, create cohesion among the student body, and encourage appropriate behavior. When we look our best, it helps us feel our best, so that we can be confident as we learn. All students at Ivy Hall, Preschool through 12th, wear the school uniform.

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: Ivy Hall polo with navy or khaki pants/shorts/skirts.

Friday: Ivy Hall t-shirt or polo with navy or khaki pants/shorts/skirts, Ivy Hall cap optional.

Wednesday (Formal Uniform):

  • Boys (PS-7th grade): white button up shirt, navy dress pants, navy Ivy Hall tie, gray or navy Ivy Hall cardigan, dress shoes, navy/white socks, belt (1st and up).Boys (8th-12th grade): white or light blue button up shirt, navy/gray/khaki dress pants, navy blazer or Ivy Hall tie, navy/white socks, belt, dress shoes.
  • Girls (PS-7th grade): navy dress or white button up shirt with navy skirt, gray/white/navy Ivy Hall cardigan, navy/white socks or tights, dark dress shoes.
  • Girls (8th-12th grade): white or light blue button up shirt or Ivy Hall fitted polo, plaid skirt, gray/white/navy Ivy Hall cardigan, navy/white socks or tights, dark dress shoes.
  • PE uniform (4th-12th grades): Ivy Hall P.E. t-shirt or hoodie, black or navy bottoms (can be Ivy Hall shorts or own), athletic shoes and socks.
  • Zip Hoodie: Ivy Hall zip hoodie is the only jacket that may be worn in class. Any coat may be worn outside at recess.
  • Free Dress day: 1st Friday of the month. Students may dress down (items should still be school appropriate – see General Dress Code).

General Dress Code Boys

  • Hair should be worn off the collar, out of the eyes and be clean. No extreme hairstyles or colors.
  • Shorts are to be walking length (no more than 3 inches above knee).
  • Shirts are to have sleeves. No halter tops, tank tops, spaghetti straps, etc.
  • Shoes must be closed-toed. Open back sandals are ok, as long as shoe covers toes.
  • Clothing decorations are to be tasteful.
  • No earrings, jewelry for boys. Religious jewelry allowed.
  • Fads will be clarified as they occur and will be up to the discretion of the administration.

General Dress Code Girls

  • Hair should be kept neat, out of the eyes and be clean. No extreme hairstyles or colors.
  • Shorts are to be walking length, no more than three inches above the knee.
  • Skirts/dresses must be no shorter than mid-thigh.
  • Shirts are to have sleeves. No halter tops, tank tops, spaghetti straps, etc. No bare midriffs.
  • Shoes must be closed-toed. Open back sandals are ok, as long as shoe covers toes.
  • Clothing decorations and jewelry are to be tasteful.
  • Conservative make-up may be worn in 6th-12th grades. Light-colored lip-gloss in younger grades.
  • Fads will be clarified as they occur and will be up to the discretion of the administration.
