Lydia Cooper

1st GRADE TEACHER

I am beyond thrilled to teach 1st grade this year at Ivy Hall Academy!  I am incredibly passionate about education and creating positive environments where each child can discover their divine potential. I have two years teaching experience including working in an elementary school with special needs children, a middle school, and teaching English to native Spanish speakers. Although I was born in Utah, I was raised in North Carolina. I am fluent in Spanish after serving a mission in Santa Rosa, California. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Tarheels!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. This year, I am moving all the way across the country to begin a new chapter. I cannot wait to meet my students and their parents. I know this will be a memorable year and I already love my students!
