JUNIOR HIGH TEACHER
After 20 years of teaching in Gilbert Arizona, I am excited to make the move to Utah and join the Ivy Hall Academy family. I have taught Junior High and High School social studies courses, including US History, World History, American Heritage, and Constitutional Studies. I have also taught classes in science and language arts. I love teaching and learning, and love inspiring young minds to love learning as well.
I was raised in the Los Angeles area and moved to Arizona in my teens. I attended both ASU and BYU – where I briefly played football until I blew out my knee during practice. I still love sports but mostly as a spectator. My wife Natalie and I have seven children, who I like to brag about and embarrass; and now four adorable grand-babies add to the fun. In my free time I enjoy working on our “new” old house, hanging out with the family, and traveling. My favorite destinations are China (where I have been many times), Iceland, New Zealand, and Tibet.
I look forward to sharing my passion for education, history, and the cultures of the world with all of my students!
