Board Chair
David has a rich history of experience in the financial industry. He is the President and CEO of Agency Building Resources, a management consulting company specializing in the development of relationship and leadership oriented financial service organizations.
David began a career in Insurance and Financial Services, at age 23, was appointed Agency Manager for Beneficial Life Insurance Co., at age 25 and retired from management 29 years later. He has recruited and trained more than 350 Financial Service Professionals and his agencies were in the top three of the company every year, and won the prestigious Presidents Cup…as the number one agency in the company, 10 times. David was a member of the Insurance Industry’s Million Dollar Round Table for 40 consecutive years and served as Past President of both San Bernardino California General Agents and Managers Association and Central Utah Life Underwriters Association.
David is a frequent guest lecturer at BYU Marriott School, The Million Dollar Round Table, The National Association of General Agents and Managers, as well as local, state and national life insurance industry organizations. He is the author of a book on effective management, The Character of Leadership.
A native of Southern California, David graduated from BYU with Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Business Management, with a Marketing concentration. He was a member of BYU Track Team and named to the NCAA All-American Track & Field Team.
David and his wife, Vickie Peterson have served as missionaries in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and BYU-Hawaii and are the parents of five children.
