David Booth

My name is David Booth and I will be the 5th grade teacher for this upcoming 2022 – 2023 school year. I am very excited to be here at Ivy Academy and want to introduce myself to you. I began my teaching career in 1999 after graduating from SUU with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Special Education. Through the years I’ve taught in the public school system, in various charter schools, at a Waldorf school and my last job was in a Montessori school. Subjects I’ve taught include Art, Spanish, Guitar, Music, Math, Language Arts, Science and History. I’ve also taught students from Pre-school and Kindergarten all the way up to Post High and even College. I have 4 boys of my own and started out home schooling them when they were young. They are all pretty much grown up now, except my youngest who is still 16. I look forward to meeting all of you and am excited to  serve you in this capacity!
