
Executive Director
Cynthia Simpson is the Executive Director of Ivy Hall Academy, a role she took on in 2014 after teaching in the Junior High for many years.
Cynthia has developed gifted math programs for 2 schools and still serves as the Lead Mathematics Specialist at Ivy Hall Academy. Beginning in 2013, she also planned, organized, and directed Ivy Hall Student World Study experiences in Italy, Peru, and China and American Study experiences in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston.
Cynthia designed and lead the school-wide Leadership implementation program, including world renowned curricula and principles based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Growth Mindset.
Cynthia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, Russian Language and Culture. She is a Certified Trainer & Facilitator of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The Leader in Me,
Certified Project Based Learning facilitator, and additionally holds a Love & Logic for Educator’s certification.
Cynthia and her family have a great love for the areas of Southeast Asia and have spent 5 years living in and working with schools in Malaysia to implement the Leader in Me process. Additionally, Cynthia and her husband Michael lived and worked as University English/Business teachers and consultants in Guangzhou China for one year in 1995-1996. As a family and as a school, the Simpson’s have put great emphasis on the importance of education that inspires service through global and community awareness.
