2nd GRADE TEACHER
I am happy to be working with the 2nd grade at Ivy Hall Academy. This is my first year at Ivy Hall, but I have been a professional certificated teacher for 25 years; I retired from full time teaching in 2018. I have a bachelor’s degree in sociology from BYU and endorsements in ESL and reading. I was born in Utah, raised in Arizona, and my husband and I raised our 8 children in both states. He recently passed away after 46 years of marriage. We have 28 grandchildren!
I have enjoyed coaching students in many sports and taught piano lessons for 25 years to hundreds of students. I’m described by colleagues, parents and students as: fun, friendly, firm, fair, and forgiving.
