I am excited to be teaching the Fabulous 5th Grade at Ivy Hall Academy. As a lover of learning, I try to encourage my students to develop a joy in experiencing all that life offers. To love learning is to open a lifetime of rich understanding where each individual recognizes the power of one and the responsibility we all have to each other. In our classroom we will challenge each other to achieve our full potential both individually and as a unit.

What a fun first week. September is a busy month - watch for field trips and other activities. Emergency kits are due: check with the office for contents. Remember school begins at 8:45 a.m. You may enter the classroom at 8:30 a.m. Check that you are wearing the complete school uniform. You must wear socks with your shoes. Cedar City Overnighter: Please complete and return the form regarding the field trip. I need this information to make reservations at the campgrounds and the museum. Book Report for August/September: Biography or Autobiography. Minimum of 150 pages. Report format - complete the poster that I will give you in September. Spelling: Short Vowel Sounds. Please note: because of the Story Telling Festival field trip, we will test on Thursday this week. Pre-test will be Wednesday.
